In 2009 approximately 743,715 people completed the naturalization process and become U.S. Citizens. Of these +700,000, individuals 74% of them resided in California, New York, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, Massachusetts, Washington and Maryland.
The top five countries of origin were Mexico, India, Philippines, China and Vietnam.
