Secretary Napolitano announced unprecedented numbers of convicted criminal aliens removals and overall alien removals in the fiscal year 2010. These statistics reflect the Obama Administration’s continued focus on effective immigration enforcement with the prioritization of identifying and removing criminal aliens who pose a threat to public safety.
The fiscal year 2010 reported more than 329,000 removals nationwide, 195,000 of which were convicted criminals. These numbers represent a 70% increase in the removal of criminal aliens from the Bush Administration.
